Silicate is a silicone foam border dressing that is made from a well-constructed, low friction, polyurethane film that is waterproof, while also being extremely absorbent. Our Silicate foam medical dressings are especially helpful to patients that have fragile skin and need a gentle solution to frequent dressing changes. These Grade A wound care products help facilitate a healthy wound environment under the dressing, but also keeps any excess fluids from damaging the healthy skin surrounding the wound.
